This beautiful wedding was an honour to capture! … Despite weekly Covid lockdown updates, a restriction of 12 people at their wedding held in Figtree & all their guests tuning in through live steam – the presence of God was so tangible & He gave us a beautiful rainbow at the end of the day when we were out taking location photos.

✝️ [Genesis 9:13] I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

(It did rain on and off throughout the day, but the Lord opened up a window just for us to take photos for an hour at Gleniffer Brae & surprised us with this rainbow – we were in awe.)

Being a Christian wedding photographer is such an honour and love seeing how rich in scripture vows are & how everything exalts Jesus.

On their day, their vows were filled with enriching reminders of the promises made between husband & wife unto the Lord.

A life laid down to serve & to give, not to take.
For marriage to represent how Christ loved the church, and gave Himself up for her.

One of the scriptures from their wedding day is still one of my favourites to date:

 

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NKJV)

9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

It reminds us that life is not about being alone & when Christ is in the centre of all our relationships, we can continuously love one another with Him as our greatest example of servant hood & be anchored in Him as our foundation 🤍

It was beyond beautiful, still to this day their vows exchanged on their special day still brings me to tears — in how God intended marriages for His children, a gift from Him for His glory.
