Over 15 years ago Betty hired me to take photos of her family where her girls were only of the ages of no more than 9 years old.
Recently she reached out to me for some elopement photography for her intimate wedding celebration before jet setting off to Sorrento, Italy for the official wedding overseas.
This was the perfect opportunity for a hybrid style photo and video wedding style coverage that came under the Elopement Photography creative coverage without it needing to be an all out 8+ hour service.
This hands down at the moment is one of my favourite style coverages, it’s perfect for capturing parts of the day in video, then switching to wedding photography when it’s more ideal. We thought it would be ideal to capture her lovely ceremony on wedding video which took place in the Macedonian Church in Wollongong. Then off to the wonderful Legacy Bar & Cafe in Balgownie for their reception – which by the way was amazing! Their food was incredible and the service was second to none.
Throughout the day, wedding photos were taken, like in the morning with her family, wedding photos of Robert and his sons out side the church and then a mix of wedding photo and video throughout reception. The greatest part about having hybrid style coverage is the flexibility to craft your coverage as you like without needing an entire photo & video team from start to finish. Perfect for more intimate style celebrations where you’re wanting the best of both worlds and yet don’t need to go all out with drones or a crew for amazing wedding memories.
Betty & Robert entered into reception to traditional music then organised dance segments for their guests in between enjoying the lovely food Legacy Bar was plating up in a buffet style arrangement. We captured the speeches as well with video and a range of videos and photos during the cake cutting. Would you like to see the side by side showcase of how Hybrid Style Photo and Video looks?
