Daniel & Rachel – Wedding Day – Illawarra Wedding Photographer

Rachel and Daniels Wedding was a beautiful day on Flagstaff Hill and City Beach Function Centre. Although the weather wasn’t on our side we headed down to south beach to get some gorgeous shots of Rach in her beautiful dress.. oh and ofcourse with her new husband.

The afternoon rain had stopped and we took advantage of the overcast sky to get some shots aong the sand. With the lighthouse in the back ground, and in eachothers arms, what more could they want? They were a spectacular couple and am glad to have had the opportunity to shoo their very special Valentines Day wedding for 2010. Suzanne Clift was their marriage celebrant and did a sensational job.. although we all had to duck for cover when it started pouring down rain towards the end of the vows.

I remember both my camera bodies and lenses getting drizzled on in the rain *bites lips in anxiousness* and frantically panicing that both bodies wouldn’t work for the rest of the day LOL. That’s when I also first met Jove from Black Hawk Productions, great guy and is so on the ball.

Anyway, the night unfolded with candid moments from their guests, Rach and Daniel’s hilarious cake from Delaney’s Cakes. It was a presentation of a spa bath as the top tier of the cake, with their wedding clothes both scattered along the bottom tier. Alongside Daniel and Rachel was a teeny tiny bottle of ‘Verdi’and ‘Jim Beam’ no bigger than 3 inches tall. So cool! Kudos to the guys over at Delaneys for their precision. They’re worth every penny I say.
