Wedding – Nan Tien Temple – Illawarra Wedding Photographer

First time I met Jo and Dave at Lee and Me last year we sat and talked about randomness for 1.5 hours.. not yet to beat my record of a 3 hour consultation LOL. Getting around to the wedding details, the three of us discussed ideas for photos around the Nan Tien Temple at Berkeley. Small intimate wedding of 50-60 guests it was simple and still very beautiful. I called Jo and said ‘I’m just pulling up the car now, I’m wearing black pants and a blue shirt’ she then replied ‘I have red hair and a grey shirt on’ ..Little did I know to expect the most luscious cherry red hair I’d ever seen! 🙂 I loved it! ..Conversations with Dave could raving about was the awesome Charger he was going to hire for the wedding transportation. The day of the wedding he said to me ‘The car came all the way down from Sydney to drive me 7km down the road.. the most expensive taxi ride of my life!’ LOL. Then followed by a map they pulled out with a gorgeous lotus pond we had photo ideas for. The two of them were so laid back, just by meeting Dave a few times before the wedding you could tell they were a cheeky couple who were simply head over heels for one another. I saw Dave a few days before the wedding to find grazes and an open wound on his elbow that screamed ‘eww’ (in simplest terms) lol. The bucks night had involved go karting dangerously and maybe the consumption of ethanol (I’ll have to get back to you on that one) ..Dave told me the story of how he did it with a chuckle. Jo just looked at him .. nodded.. and smiled. I guess boys will be boys 🙂

During the ceremony Jo started to tear up during her vows.. *sobs* :'( it was so beautiful! I’m kind of a sucker for ceremonies though which doesn’t help. Not as bad as my Paul though hehe ..he cried in the Notebook ..Shhh! you never heard if from me. Let’s see them question your masculinity now honey 🙂 ..His excuse was ‘I wasn’t crying! It was windy, my eyes are very sensitive’ LOL .. Mind you we were indoors in the middle of summer.

Back to this gorgeous couple! ..Two thumbs up for your beautiful wedding, loved the flowers, loved the oriental theme, loved the table settings and loved capturing the connection between you two on your special day.

Left: Loving this backlit image, my favourite of the entire album. Right: Not as timeless but it kind of takes you in.

..

Left: The joys of a bride after the kiss *sigh. Right: The last image of the day, with the help of the best man we pulled of this off-camera flash shot. Had to clone his hand out of the way, as you know a flash/speed light on a human stand isn’t very attractive for the final wedding shot.

Thanks so much for having me! It was an absolute pleasure! Your canvas will be arriving shortly!
