Fashion Shoot – Kim – Mt Annan

Kim and I have been through so much together like:
– being yelled at by dominant males who love their golf turf and specifying why high heels on the new green is a bad thing LOL
-Being approached by disgusting port men with no teeth asking for a fan shot lol
-Jumping into pools on freezing cold days (well not me, just kim hehe)
-And almost breaking my neck in her bathtub during our second shoot lol
We adopted each other on a modelling site a year ago and fell in love at first site.. with collaborating that is 🙂 since then I’ve been proud to call her my girl ..

Luv ya kimmy!

Now this first shot was very difficult lol.. Kim is so tall, on top of that I had to stand in a trench/ditch alongside this paddock, holding my flash as high a I could on a 45 degree down angle whilst managing to operate my camera with my right hand. Popped on a flash diffuser to spread and soften the light.. and we get this.. isn’t she just super!

..

this second shot was pulled on with same lighting set up, popped a glamour filter over it, dodged the highlights and burnt the shadows in photo shop then added a ‘Dream’ light room preset to it.

..

This last one is so cute! the most random thing happened.. we were shooting on the fence and this foal just came parading up the paddock to greet us.. It was the most beautiful experience (you know with me never having an encounter with a horse before) and he just looked so cheeky. The foal tilted her head to one side, looked at us.. then darted away before I could say hello. It was adorable. So then along came mum with her baby and they both came back to the fence to say hello. I was mesmerised by them, such graceful animals.. harmless and so gentle. I touch the foal’s jaw and it was as solid as can be!

So here we were again shooting, trying to avoid the use of off-camera-flash so we didn’t scare away the horses. But Kimmy pulled a good one off, and every time I look at this I just giggle to myself knowing the encounter behind it 🙂

The End
